A Cause to Design

Pro bono nonprofit websiteA Cause to Design was created to provide great local causes with one of the most crucial components to their initiative… a website!

A website is important to causes for many reasons. A major one being it creates a central place for all the information so that supporters and potential supporters have the opportunity to learn and interact. Some other reasons include providing a sense of legitimacy, collecting donations, lead generation, providing event information, progress updates and many more depending on the specific cause.

2013 Winner

Benjamin Lunak – Motivational Teacher

Benjamin Lunak is a CrossFitting Marine who is working on launching a motivational movement about “never giving up” – all the while living this motto by doing CrossFit with only one leg.

How the program works

Liquis Design develops a pro-bono website each year for a local cause as determined by public vote. The recipient can be a non-profit or just have a great cause that does GOOD in an area where there is a need. However, applicants who do not have non-profit status are at the discretion of Liquis Design.

The website build will be created using our small business and nonprofit website program, with the goal to develop a website that will serve as a significant marketing and awareness component for the cause.

The recipient’s site will be launched by December 31st as a sentiment of the difference that cause will make in the year ahead aided by the new website and goals attached to it.

How you can be considered

Submissions must be made in the form of a short video and uploaded to YouTube at the time of call for entries. The entry form below must also be submitted and received within that time frame. Submission videos are posted as they are approved and be eligible for public voting.

Upon selection, the cause must be ready to supply any necessary items such as their logo, verbiage, images and any other submittals for the completion of the project within 30 days of the initial meeting.  Unfortunately this is non-negotiable in order to complete the project in a timely manner so please only apply if you are able to satisfy this requirement.

Winner Expectations

Q: When will I know if I won?
A: Immediately! A live voting tally will be active for all to see. We’ll also reach out to the winner within a few days of voting completion to set up a meeting.

Q: How will we work together?
A: At our meeting we will discover more about your cause and what you want to achieve.  From there we will help you determine the best theme for your objectives.

Q: What do you need from me?
A: At the initial meeting, we will uncover items needed from you in order to move forward. You can expect to provide a digital file of your logo and verbiage, unless you have a current website we can pull the verbiage from. Other items may include photos or merchant information necessary to receive donations. Everything we need will be determined at the beginning of the project and due no later than 30 days from the request.

Q: What comes with the website?
A: We will provide the same services outlined in our Small Business and Nonprofit program at a value of $750. Additional functionality add-ons are available, but not included.
