Our approach.
Fleur Philips, an author with BookSparks, writes young adult fiction, but her books deal with serious topics so we had to balance that somehow. She requested a site that was “fresh, strong, and alive” so we knew we needed something bold and unique. Using the lower case letters, bright colors and textures kept the site young. She also lives in and writes about Montana, which inspired the image in the footer of Glacier National Park.
Fleur didn’t give us a ton of direction, yet the designer in charge of this project managed to give her exactly what she wanted and needed. The website is not just unique, it’s unique to her. It’s young, but not childish – modern, but not techie – light, but bold enough to handle her tough topics.
